THE PROJECT

Hypercube Scientific built a mission-critical, always-on scheduling and planning tool for an $80bn iron ore major.

The fully bespoke application was developed in partnership with a strong owners’ team and specialist subcontractors, making for an agile and blended development team that delivered well beneath the cost of competing, “off-the-shelf” applications. The project included:

• Integration with live data sources.

• Intelligent validations to alert users to data capture issues.

• On-the-fly optimisation calculations.

• Scenario management and comparison.

• Well-designed user interfaces.

• Several reports for consumption across the business.

We have worked on a variety of small scheduling tools for specific business functions. For example, the assignment of tugs to vessels given multiple competing demands on asset utilisation, maintenance and crew rest. We pride ourselves on working closely with in-house teams and seeking client success first and foremost.
